Tell me about your rabbits.
The adoptable rabbits shown on this site are being cared for in the homes of Rabbit Advocate
volunteers. Because these
rabbits live with us as members of the family, we can tell you helpful information
about a rabbit you are considering adopting. This includes info on the rabbit's
personality, what he is used to eating, what living arrangements will work well,
his favorite treats and toys, and the answers to other questions you'll have.
Are indoor homes required?
Most of our rabbits are adopted to indoor homes only. Here are some
reasons.
Are the rabbits spayed or neutered?
All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
Do you have rabbits who aren't featured on your site?
Yes.
What are "special needs" rabbits?
These rabbits are identified with a .
These are rabbits who require extra care for medical conditions (sometimes temporary),
have a disability, or who require socialization. These rabbits are given a second
chance when they are fostered in volunteer homes where they receive appropriate medical
care and help with social skills.

What is the adoption process?
Contact us (please see below). We will then contact you to discuss the rabbits and
set up a time for you to meet the rabbit or rabbits. A pre-adoption application is
required.
What is the adoption fee?
The adoption fee is $35 for a single rabbit or $45 for a bonded pair.
Can rabbits be shipped out of area?
Adopters must live within driving distance of Portland or planning a trip to the area.
We are sorry, but the rabbits cannot be shipped.
How can I contact you to find out more or to adopt?
There are several ways you can contact us to find out about our rabbits.
For information on a specific rabbit, you can email the volunteer who is fostering
that rabbit. The email address of the rabbit's guardian is at the end of the rabbit's
description.

How can I help? Can I foster rabbits?
We are always looking for foster homes. If you have the space in your home and your
heart to help a rabbit who is waiting for a permanent home, please contact
us. We will help you get set up for rabbit care and teach you how to
do an adoption from your home.
